Description: Folder 1230 in Box 19 of Knox County Circuit Court records at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House holds 4 documents, recognizance bonds for Jesse (man of color, no last name) and Easter or Esther (a negro woman, no last name but possibly Bazadone.) These bonds are related to an assault and battery case in which Esther claims to have been beaten up by Jesse. Benjamin Parke’s name is at the bottom the documents, all of which are dated April 13 and May first and eighth of April 1813.
