Description:	The probate record for Eli Fisher is housed in Box 65 of the Knox County probate records. It can be found at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A hand written document was filed April 22, 1861, naming Elliott Halstead and Lewis Nugent as administrators of the estate of Eli Fisher. Other items included in this file are: sales bill, real estate sale of property to Elliott Halstead and Catherine Halstead from Eli Fisher’s estate in January 1862, newspaper advertisement, an inventory of the estate performed by Lewis Nugent and Gideon Wells, a petition to sell the property naming the heirs as Samuel Fisher, William W. Fisher, Warner Fisher, Mary Ann McCombs, wife of Albert McCombs of Daviess Co., a power of attorney is filed by Albert and Mary McCombs appointing Elisa Collins of Greene County as their attorney, two petitions naming Mary Ann McCombs as the daughter and only heir of Eli Fisher.
