The probate record for Robert Morehead is housed in Box 52 of the Knox County probate records. It can be found at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A hand written document was filed on September, 2, 1853 by Nancy Morehead, widow of Robert Morehead. She renounced all rights to be the administrator of her husband’s estate and turns it over to J. D. Williams. Other documents found in this file are list of creditors owed, items in the personal estate for sale, sale bill, settlement of the estate, property taxes owed, appraisal of the property by John Tevebaugh and William Pry, and sale of land posted in the Indiana Patriot advertisement. |
