Knox County probate record for Samuel F. Chambers, 1838

Description:	A file containing probate records for Samuel F. Chambers is housed in the Probate Records section, Box 24 at the Knox County (IN) Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A press-printed bond filed May 10, 1841 names Jonathon P. Cox as administrator. In a renunciation filed October 22, 1838 Ann Chambers (widow) cedes her administration to her brother, Samuel D, Piety. In an inventory filed February 12, 1944 the phrase ”…received of William Piety admin of Samuel D. Piety who was administrator of said Samuel Chambers.” This folder also includes schedules of court costs, administrator’s accounts, a bill of sale for the inventory.
