A file containing probate records for William Clark is housed in the Probate Records section, Box 24 at the Knox County (IN) Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A hand-written bond dated December 29 of 1838 names Caleb Clark and Lemuel Clark as administrators. In addition there’s an inventory of the estate as well as an accompanying bill of sale, a schedule of court costs and an administrator’s account. There are also medical bills and charges to the estate from two mercantiles. Images posted here are a sampling of the contents of the folder. |
