George Rogers Clark Memorial and Freedom Train framed in bridge arch

Description: Black and white photo taken through an arch of the Lincoln Memorial Bridge on July 24, 1948, day the Freedom Train stopped in Vincennes, Indiana. Memorial is dressed up with bunting, assuming it to be red, white, and blue, as the Train must be. Just visible is a long line of people waiting to enter the Train, along the sea (retaining) wall of the Wabash River, extending to outside the frame of the picture. Crowds of people mill around the Memorial and it grounds. Freedom Train sent out by U. S. Government to encourage patriotism.
