Tavo of his best knownworks were reviewed, Miss Cooper giving thestory of The Other Wise Man, and MissMaize Elliott the story of The Mansion. MissBeaver acted as critic.The Society was entertained Friday evening by Miss Slinkard and Maize and GertrudeElliott.FORUM.As always, the Forum Society is in the midstof current events, current topics, or in short, itmight be said to be in the present day life ofthe universe. A feAV of the topics which havebeen discussed recently are: Health Problems, Drug Plabits, and Warfare.John Shotwell has been elected to activemembership of the society. On Wednesday,Nov. 18, Mr. Shotwell was introduced into thesociety. After the introduction he made a veryinteresting and instructive talk on FraternalBrotherhood.On Friday evening, Nov. 13, the Forumgave their Good Luck Dance at the PhoenixClub. This was the first social function of itskind ever given by the society. The guestswere students of the school and persons whohad at some time been connected with the institution. The active members of the society andtheir guests present were:Messrs. Raymond Rightsell, Andrew Mercker, George Hahn, Rollie Dobbs, CliffordBlackman, Glenn BroAvn, John Shotwell,Charles Burton and Luther Troutman. MissesGrace Nantz, Frieda Glavecke, Mary Flaherty,Mary Scott, Aldene Richards, Zelpha Burkettand Helena Freitag.The Alumni members and guests were:Messrs. A. C. Senour, Warner Lowe, RayJared, and James Mackwell. Mrs. A. C.Senour, Misses Ivah Cox, Hazel HathaAvay andDoris Drake.Invited guests: Messrs. Ernest Michael,Harold Swanigan, Wendell Wright, CharlesMelton, William Fitzgerald, of Montgomery,Ind., Oscar Haney of Cannelburg, Ind., WardByrkitt, Lee Brinton, Arthur Turman, Richard Caldwell, Elbert Allen, Ott Reisman andKeith Offett. Misses Enid Cockrum, BerniceHeath, Nola Noland, Mabel Jones, HelenaCasey, Blanche Desmeyer, Bessie Kerber, Cora-del Wade, Beatrice Kester, Margrete Clawsonof Evansville, Vallie Runyan, Rachael Sutliffand Catharine Nantz.Profs. Mutterer, Baxter, Botsford and Rhyanwere the chaperons.Raymond Rightsell and Miss Grace Nantzled the grand march, and programs werehanded out by Andrew Mercker and MissFrieda Glavecke.This will probably end the social functionsof the Forum for the year 14. The society hasdone excellent work throughout the past term,and now with great expectations it is lookingahead to the new year.Thus at the end of the old year, the ForumAvishes to extend to one and all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.PHILOMA THE AN.The Philomathean Literary Society met onSaturday, November 17. Miss Cuppy was ill,and therefore unable to give her part of theprogram. Miss Rippetoe opened the meetingwith a piano solo, which was much appreciated.The remainder of the morning Avas given overto a business meeting.The next meeting was held on November 21.Current events were discussed, and music wasgiven by Miss Burnell. Miss Cuppy discussedmost interestingly DeMorgans Joseph Vance.The members have taken unusual interest inthe work this year, and the next terms workpromises to be even more interesting. •TROJANS.The Trojans can express their general attitude in the expression All is quiet on the Potomac for every member is busily engaged in
