The CollegeCourse can boast of being almost to the twohundred mark.On October 14, the College Course held ameeting for the election of officers. The resultwas as follows: J. M. Koch, president MaizeElliot, vice-president Minerva Peyton, secretary Andrew Merker, treasurer Robert LaFollette, and Richard Sigler, members of theOratorical League Heinie Knauth, AthleticCaptain Walter Shriner, Class Editor Mr.Gunn, chairman of the social committee RalphSchenck, member of the Board of Control.The present issue of importance is the paying of the twenty-five cent dues to the Treasurer, which make the coming Big SocialStunt, possible.Not wishing to take the Normal Courses bysurprise this means is taken to warn them thatwhen any feats of valor come up the CollegeCourse shall be there.Representative to Oratorical League Chas. E. Melton and Bert LeechSENIORS.Pursuant to call for a meeting, about fiftymembers of the Senior Class met in Room B12, Wednesday, October 14. The meeting wascalled to order by acting Chairman, Chas. E.Melton. The members proceeded immediatelyto business and elected a corps of competentofficers to pilot the class through the term. Thefollowing officers were elected:President J. Freeman PyleSecretary Hilda ZellTreasurer Lyman StandleyClass Editor J. J. Wm. BrownAthletic Captain Dale StifflerJUNIORS.The Juniors held a meeting for the purposeof electing their officers, Thursday, Oct. 15,1914, in Room B 33. A good representation ofthe class was present. Mr. Merchant acted aschairman. When Mr. Robinson was electedpresident, he stepped forth amid wild cheersand applause and addressed the class, whichwas largely made up of last years Sophomores,who are back again to make the Juniors thefirst and best class in school, as the Sophomoreswere last year. The following officers wereelected:Vice-President Fred PhillipotSecretary Daphne ChunnTreasurer Napoleon HensonOratorical League.. Chas. Dalton, Mr. FrenchAthletic Captain Fred PhillipotThe election of further officers was postponeduntil the next meeting. Look out for theJuniors!SOPHOMORES.The Sophomore Class held a business meeting, October 16th, for the first time this term.The meeting was called to order at 3 :30 P. M.,and the following officers were elected: WalterR. Brewer, president Robert McKig, vice-president Edgar L. Morphet, secretary-treasurer. Merl Perry and Crofford H. Buckles,were elected to represent the Sophomore Classat the Oratorical League, the other offices beingleft vacant until a future meeting.A class banquet is being planned. A largeattendance is expected as the Sophomores neverfail to come.The Sophomores are certainly a lively bunch,as every one knows, and that is why they allcome to the banquets.
