The guests of the evening werethe Misses Drummond and Brown.Monday evening, April 12, the Alpha girlsspent a delightful evening with Frances Sammis at her home in Oak St. After a deliciouspicnic supper an impromptu musical programwas given. The guests of the Sorority were theMisses Drummond, Hazledine and Price.The Alpha Sorority gave a beautifully appointed dinner in the Ordinary of the Filbeck,Friday, April 16. The table was artisticallydecorated in yellow, the Alpha color. In thecenter of the table was an immense basket ofjonquils and ferns. The place cards, bearingthe Alpha pin and the favors also carried outthe color scheme. The guests of the Sororitywere the Misses Drummond, Price, Blackburn,and Hazledine.Ethel Scudder has returned to Chicago University to resume her work.Joy Muchmore and Grace Bland of Sullivanand Myrtle Landerholm of the city have entered school for the spring term.CANDIDA.The Candida Chapter entertained its gentlemen friends Saturday evening, March 6, at 414North Sixth Street, with Misses Kenton andMorse as hostesses. The room made a verystriking appearance, being decorated in greenand white. Numerous pennants also adornedthe walls. One of the chief features of theevenings entertainment was an imaginary tripacross the continent. A two-course luncheonwas served at the close of a very delightfulevening. Those present were the Misses Wood,Standiford, Applegate, Whitcraft, Price, Bogemann, Groff, Sleeth, Cochran, Hixon, Knox,Lowe, Miller, Raelsback, Kenton and Morse,and the Messrs. Allhands, Rowe, Thorpe, Cain,Rowe, Byrne, Schopmeyer, Laughlin, Cluny,MilhoUand, Kamman, Schorling, Davis, Long-necker, and Troth. Miss Bonsall chaperonedthe jolly crowd.All the members of the fall and winterterms are in for the spring term, except MissKenton and Miss Morse, and the Section expects many pleasant meetings during the term.GAMMA GAMMA.The Misses Helen and Mildred Jackson gavean informal dance at St. Marys on Friday,April 9, in honor of their guest, Miss JessieBradshaw of Indianapolis. They had as theirguests, Misses Helen Phillips, Eleanor Cunningham, Edna Newton, Florence Davenport,Margaret Tomlin, Harriet OMeara, HazelHathaway, Gladys Fisher, Beatrice McClain,Helen and Mildred Jackson, Jessie Bradshaw,Rose Duenweg, Katherine Staff, Helen Plope-well, Jessie Sage, Anne Nicholson, Sadie Carpenter, Lela Walls, Gertrude Hebb, PansyWest, Marie Price Messrs. Lund, Johnson,Buckley, Hunting, Bock, Newhart, Ker, Ras-mussen, Armstrong, Plank, Nicholson, Weaver,Haines, Miller, Jones, Jackson, Bradford,Shepard, Lammers, Price. The party was chaperoned by Mrs. Jackson.The regular monthly meeting will be heldApril 17 with Mrs. Jessie Sage, at her home inNorth Sixth Street.The fourth annual dance will be held April30 at the Phoenix Club.
