A class of men will give threenumbers or more, consisting of tumbling, wandwork, pyramid building and fencing. Miss Lovewill give a number with the womens class andthe Turn Verein of the city will also give anumber.At the opening of the fall term, very few of thebasket ball girls of last year entered. This, initself, was discouraging but the basket ball outlook now is quite promising, owing to the enthusiasm and steady practice of the girls. Sincethe first week of schools, not less than thirty girlshave been coming regularly to practice and someare spending extra hours doing individual work.The list of basket ball girls is as follows : LindaArmstrong, Lettie Wilson, Alice Wright, SarahHunt, Bessie Locke, Mabelle Steeg, Fern Casto,LeNora Condon, Belle Marbain, Forrest Cunningham, Disa Baxter, Dulce Heady, EdithFlood, Florence Redifer, Ethel Burbon, SueKibby, Bernice Pearson, Mary Jackson, 03, GraceMitchell, Mable McKee, Elsie Goshorn, NellieMay, Edith Eastham, Grace Yonker, Mary Jackson, 05, Edna Huffman, Helen Fuller, GertrudeMiller, Edna Trinkle, Nellie Beecher, and MarthaJones. They were divided into two sections, onecoming for practice every Monday and Thursdayafternoon, the other every Tuesday and Friday,and all coming on Wednesday afternoons andSaturday mornings.Now that teams have been formed, two teamsplay every afternoon practicing for the contestgames which are to be played later. The first ofthese will be given for the benefit of the Association House and the proceeds from the rest willgo to the Athletic Association.The girls feel confident of a successful season,if the present interest and approval of the facultyand students continue.Arthurs arms were still around her Several minutes had gone bySince the first kiss had been given,And hed sworn for her to die. The contest will be open until February 1st, 1903. A committee of three judgesrepresenting the faculty, alumni and studentbody will be chosen by the executive committee.These judges will render their decision withoutknowing the names of the contestants.The production must breathe the school spiritand be of true merit.When appropriate words have been decidedupon a prize will be.awarded the person submitting the best music.
