have them with us again.Miss Gertrude Steepleton entertained the
Eclectics with a party at her home on Fifth
avenue Saturday evening, May 2. An enjoy¬
able evening was spent in music, games and
contests. Mr. Hunt and Professor Bruce won
the prizes in two unique contests. Refresh¬
ments were served. Those present were Misses
Gertrude and Maize Elliott, Hazel Taylor,
Hildegard Maehling, Ruby St. John, Nora
Wright, Patty McCullum, Delia M. Sanders,
Minerva Payton, Hazel M. Sanders, Nona
Noel, Gladys Gray, Ruth Perkins, Goldia
Kirkham
Messrs. Dale Stiffler, Thomas Pass-
water, Clyde B. Hickman, Edgar Hunt, Chas.
Steinbarger, William Brown, Walter Shriner,
Hubert Nutt, Ray Stockrahm, Harold Parker,
Ralph R. Schenck, Fred Strickler and William
Conner. Professor and Mrs. Bruce acted as
chaperones.FORUM.The interest of the Forum is directed chiefly
toward making the spring annual banquet and
dance the most elaborate in the history of the
society. This affair will be given by the ac¬
tive membership to the graduate membership,
at the Elks Club on Monday evening, June 8.
No time and energy is being spared toward
making this affair a grand success. Invita¬
tions have been extended to the following
faculty members and their lady guests: Mr.
Baxter, Lynch, Mutterer, Bogardus and Presi¬
dent Parsons.In the meantime interesting discussions are
being taken up on current topics. The Mexi¬
can situation has been a favorite subject and
much information has been realized by the
several members.PHILOMA THE AN.The Philomathean Literary Society has been
holding its regular meetings each Saturdaymorning of the month. The programs have
been enthusiastically given before a full mem¬
bership.On Saturday, April 11, the time was de¬
voted to the discussion of Raphael and the
Madonnas. Interesting talks were given by
the Misses Glover, Cox and Rippetoe.On Saturday, April 18, a study of Parsi-
val was well presented by Miss Gertrude
Force.On Saturday, April 25, Miss Hazel Schaper
reviewed the Eternal City in an interesting
manner.Special music and current events were fea¬
tures of each program.The society will give its annual play, en¬
titled, Three Girls From School, Friday
evening, May 15, in the Training School audi¬
torium, under the direction of Miss Marjorie
Cuppy.The cast of characters is composed of the

lectic, Daedalians, Ciceronians and Forum.A reception followed the play and refresh¬
ments of punch and wafers were served. Car¬
nations were given as favors.
