thoroughly enjoyed by all.Those present were the Misses Arbogast,
Bodenhafer, Burkett, Campbell, Costlow, Elli¬
son, Harris, Jones, McClung, Provines, Rowe,
Smith, Wood, Golay, Zinck, Davies and
Standiford, and Messrs. Arbogast, Freyburg,
Hemmer, Stiltz, Swango, Wood, Wright, Cook,
Schoonover, Hyndman, Switzer, Carmichael,
Reed, Miller, Clunie, Sigler and Kock.The chaperons were Prof, and Mrs. Lynch
and Prof, and Mrs. Stalker.It was one of the most delightful events in
the societys history and was the occasion of
the return of several former members, includ¬
ing Misses Elizabeth Standiford of Clinton,
Miss May Zinck of Worthington, and Miss
Larene B. Davies of Edwardsport.DAEDALIAN.
Happy is the people whose annals are short.
The Daedalians should be happy. Nothing to
report this month except that the society is
off on the spring term lap with a leap and a
bound that presages a good strong finish.
Messrs. VanCleave and Brandon are two old
oarsmen that have returned to their seats—to
vary the figure slightly—and fourteen men are
now at the oars, all in the same boat, to vary
the figure slightly more. All the time row¬
ing, is their slogan. But Daedalianism hasnt
time to announce to the outside its inside go¬
ings-on with trumpet blare. Oh, well, quiet
waters run the deepest anyway. Ich sollte mich
sorgen!ECLECTIC.The program committee has arranged for a
series -of very interesting programs for the
spring term. The study of Les Miserables
is to be continued, followed by that of the
Marble Fawn.The following officers were elected for the

ton.The Misses Woody, Veit, Sanders, McCul¬
lum and Kirkham were admitted as new mem¬
bers into the society.FORUM.The Forum held its first meeting of the term
on Tuesday, March 31.Messrs. Johnston and Riordan were appoint¬
ed as social committee, and Mr. Dalton was
elected treasurer for the term. Mr. A. C.
Senour was reinstated to active membership,The active members now are Messrs. Right-
sell, Hoffman, Johnston, Riordan, Senour,
Troutman, Blackman, Hahn, Crim, Mercker,
Hobbs, Dalton and Burton. Mr. Mackell, a
graduate member, is also in school this term.With this corps of active members the Forum
is anticipating a very successful terms work.Messrs. Thompson and Carmack visited
friends in Terre Haute recently.PHILOMA THE AN.The Philomathean Literary Society held its
first meeting of the term Saturday, April 4.
The following program was given:Diana of the Crossways—Miss Fields.Foreign Events—Hazel Shaper.Domestic Events—Gertrude Force.The officers for the term are: Marjorie

Esther Newton, artist, and Nelle Glover, par¬
liamentarian.Misses Helen Trent, Hazel Davis and Ger¬
trude Force were received as new members of
the society. These girls are capable of excel¬
lent work.We are sorry to lose Miss Eunice Asbury,
who, having completed her work, has returned
to her home until commencement. We are glad
to have Miss Hazel Davis, one of our old mem¬
bers, with us again.
