Description: |
Deborah Bates transcribed interview of Ules and Cora Slinker about the Tarp Man of Sullivan County. Ules and Cora state that the man lived far from the road and was isolated. He liked the isolation, and when he found out that they were building a road near his house, he laid down tarps, shot his dog and laid him as if he was in a bed, burned his house, and then shot himself. The Slinkers stated that his niece found him later that afternoon. |
