Debs that the United States Commission on Industrial Relations will be holding a public hearing in Washington D. C. during the first two weeks of May. Says that he would like Eugene V. Debs to appear as a witness before the commission on 5/12/1915. Writes that Eugene V. Debss testimony should cover his own experiences with the courts and what he thinks should be done enforce the law in industrial disputes. Tells Eugene V. Debs that the United States Commission on Industrial Relations will hold its sessions at the Shoreham Hotel. Mentions that Eugene V. Debs should be at the hotel by 10 A.M. on the day of his appearance. Assures Eugene V. Debs that he will receive compensation for his time in the amount of 5 cents a mile for travel expenses from Terre Haute, Indiana to Washington, D. C. and $2 each day he attends the hearings.
