Copy of letter from Theodore Debs, 09/30/1915. Writes that Eugene V. Debs has been bed-ridden since he returned from Oklahoma. Says that he has warned Frank OHare against over-taxing Eugene V. Debs strength. Informs Wagner that Eugene V. Debs will not be able to make it to Weston, West Virginia. Remarks that if Eugene V. Debs health does not improve in the next few days he will have to cancel Eugene V. Debs eastern tour. Tells Wagner that Eugene V. Debs has not made a single trip under the auspices of the NATIONAL RIP-SAW that has not had some kind of a killer in it. Says that if the NATIONAL RIP-SAW cannot make better arrangements for Eugene V. Debs he will have to go somewhere else. Asks that Wagner make no plans for a western tour for Eugene V. Debs. Writes that none of Eugene V. Debs tours should last more than 2 weeks. |
