Letter to Theodore Debs, 11/09/1926. Says that it was one of the great things in his life to have had the chance to be influenced by Eugene V. Debs. Writes that it was a privilege to have gotten the chance to pay tribute to him. Mentions that he was sorry he did not get a chance to see Theodore Debs after the funeral. Tells Theodore Debs that out of the $90 check that he sent that he will use some of it to cover the cost of his trip to Terre Haute, Indiana and the rest he will give to the Socialist Party in memory of Eugene V. Debs. Asks that Theodore Debs tell him if he has any plans on writing a biography of Eugene V. Debs life. Mentions that he has been approached by a publisher to write one but decided not to pursue it until he knew what Theodore Debs plans were. |
