Description: First issue of what became the Around the Bend newsletter, published by the South Bend branch of the Womens International League for Peace and Justice (WILPF) and the South Bend Pledge of Resistance. Contains articles and images glued on to grid paper. Articles report on a Pledge of Resistance protest march that started at St. Joseph High School, the founding of the Working Womens Coalition, the South Bend Coalition on South Africa, and the coalition formed to produce Around the Bend.
