Description: Around the Bend was a newsletter of the Womens International League for Peace and Freedom and Pledge of Resistance (WILPF). It contains news and information regarding civil rights and social justice activities in and around South Bend, Indiana, as well as national and international news thought relevant to readers. This issue includes news on the city councils censure of at-large city councilman Al Paszek for his remarks on South Bends black community, including the text of his remarks, news on the Great Peace March that passed through here on their way to Washington D.C., and on local Irish musician David James as he prepared to go to Ireland to compete in the All-Ireland competition.
