Maurice Tulchinsky, circa 1970s

Description: Maurice Tulchinsky was one of the lawyers that represented the N.A.A.C.P. at the hearing before the South Bend Parks Board that resulted in the final desegregation of the Engman Natatorium in 1950. This photo is sourced from his wife Ruth Tulchinskys Life Story scrapbook. In his career as a lawyer, he championed the rights of workers and minorities.
