Materials include annual calendars, newsletters,event programs, and other materials pertaining to local social groups. The date ranges veryfrom group to group with the earliest materials in the collection dating to the early 1890s throughthe present. The bulk of the materials date between the 1910s and 1960s.Folders in this collection are arranged alphabetically by organization with dedicated boxes forgroups with larger holdings or oversized materials.This collection is limited by what materials have been collected about each group over time. Forsome groups the materials are extremely limited while others are well represented. No materialsin this collection are presented as complete. Photographs are extremely limited as aredocuments pertaining to organizational operations. The vast majority of materials arepublic-facing documents, such as event programs and publications.Administrative History/Biographical Note: As the collection pertains to a wide variety oforganizations, administrative history of each organization is unavailable.Organization and Provenance: The materials are broadly arranged alphabetically byorganization name. Sub folders are arranged alphabetically by subheadings, including topic orpublication title. Many of the historical materials in this collection were gathered by the libraryover a period of many decades and by several different library departments.
