Clothing tag reads: Fur Designer Mr. Leonard New York Fur Shop - South Bend. Harry Pryweller opened the New York Fur Shop in South Bend in 1924. His son Leonard bought out the business in 1964, renaming it Mr. Leonards Furs, and moved to 314 N. Michigan. Mr. Leonards designed, manufactured, repaired, stored, and sold furs until the business was sold to an Indianapolis firm in 2001. |
