Black wool double-breasted womens below-the-knee coat with black lambswool collar. Tag reads Worths of South Bend. Worths ladies apparel was opened by Herbert Friend around 1933 at 135 S. Michigan St. In 1937 the business moved to an expensively renovated spot at 127 N. Michigan. Herbert expanded to locations in Niles and Town & Country Shopping Center before his death on a buying trip to New York in 1955. |
