Envisioning a Discrimination Free CommunitySouth Bend Equality sponsors discussions in our homes…Come to a discussion about how society’s attitudes and expectations areinfluencing the lives of GLBTQ individuals in the South Bend area. We want to hear from you!Topics to be discussed:What is discrimination? (How to know it when you see it.)How does discrimination impact your daily life?What limitations do GLBTQ individuals face in their daily lives in thiscommunity?What would discrimination-free work places, neighborhoods, and businesses look like?How would our lives change if we could reduce discrimination?We need YOUR participation and suggestions!! We’ll needfacilitators for each meeting (preferably not the same person who offers the house), and we’ll have handouts to define discrimination legally, and from a social science standout. I’m following Tricia’s lead in talking with peopleabout discrimination in the hopes that we’ll get more volunteers forinterviews, and more people who want to work with us in general. I’m opento any suggestions. So let’s discuss this on Tuesday…
