This photo shows the T. E. Austin Drug store located at W. Main Street at Scribner Park in New Albany, Indiana. It was established in 1857. The building was built for Clement Nance Shields who died in 1832. The store was later occupied by Dr. and Mrs. Theo Austin. There is a handwritten note on the front that refers to this as the Phoenix Drug Store. |
