DePauw College engraving, New Albany, Ind., 1887

Description: Hand-colored copy photograph of an engraving of the DePauw College for Young Ladies. Written on the back is: ;From engraving in New Albany Ledger, Sept. 20, 1887.; It was on the southwest corner of E. 9th and Main Streets. Originally it opened as Indiana Asbury Female College in 1852, but its name was changed to DePauw College for Young Ladies in 1867. It was later known as DePauw College for Young Men and Women.
