New Albany Fire Station, New Albany, Ind., ca. 1905

Description: Brick fire station at the southeast corner of E. Spring and 4th Streets. It shows a horse-drawn wagon, fire crew, and firemen posing on a ladder leading to the fire tower cupola and bell. The catalog card states that it was built in 1876 and the tower removed in the 1920s about twenty years after the picture was taken. Appears in ;A Photo Collection of Early New Albany Scenes; 1976.
