Masonic Temple, New Albany, Ind., ca. 1905

Description: Mounted view of the Masonic Temple building on the northwest corner of Pearl and Spring Streets. It dates to the 1860s and was razed in 1915 to make way for the Elsby Building completed in 1917 (later named the American Bank Building). A banner across the street reads: New Albany Commandery, No. 5 Knights Templar and this is likely taken during the Knights Templar parade [see also image 725-p8-00962].
