Description: Untitled postcard, sign near building shown says Hotel McCurdy. The back reads The Hotel McCurdy towers eight stories above the banks of the Ohio River, providing convenience and comfort for the out-of-town visitor. Evansville, Ind. / Ektachrome by Helen OBrien. Postmarked September 1950 (last number blurred).The McCurdy Hotel opened in 1917 and closed in 1969 after declaring bankruptcy. It was designed in the Colonial Revival style by H. Ziegler Dietz of St. Louis.
