Brick church located on the southwest corner of East Main and South Morgan Streets. Printed caption in the image: M. E. Church - Mentone Ind. 72-2. / Pub. by Shafer & Goodwin. Shafer and Goodwin was a Mentone drugstore. Claude Bayne is written on the front. Postmarked 1910. Mentone M. E. Church 1893 is in the design of the arched glass window above the doors. To the right on Main Street is a frame house, identified in another image as the parsonage. As of 2021 the Mentone United Methodist Church building is extant with additions that replaced the house. |
