Description: Four Spanish American War military personnel in uniforms post on a Umbrella Rock, a tourist site on Lookout Mountain. Identified on the front as Lookout Mountain, June 11, 1898. Written on the back: Picture taken on Umbrella Rock which is at the point of Lookout Mt. X [pencilled on front] shows dimly Tennessee River two miles away. Col Kiger is farthest to left; two commissary sergeants in center. / Dr. Foxworthy in mid air.Dr. Frank Foxworthy (1873-1939) was born in Kentland, Indiana, attended college at DePauw University, and practiced medicine in Indianapolis over 20 years. He was a captain in the US Army during the Spanish-American War, and was the chief surgeon in the 160th Indiana Regiment.
