Description: View of Market Square Arena showing the northeast corner of the building with the dome centered against the vertical lines of the parking garage. The CIty-County Building is on the left. Text on back of card describes Market Square Arena as an ultra-modern structure of glass, steel and 810,000 cu. ft. of concrete. It accommodates over 17,000 spectators in the theatre-type seats. The dome, which rises 150 feet above the floor, has become a prominent part of the Indainapolis, Indiana skyline.Opened it 1974, it is notably the site of the last Elvis Presley concert on June 26,1977, just a few weeks before his death. It was torn down in 1999.
