Iona and Clarence (Bitzer) Baker and their farm house, Andrews, Indiana, circa 1913

Description: Postcard addressed to Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Bitzer in Andrews, Indiana. The message reads: Nov. 28, 1913 / You can hang this picture where the rats and mice bother and scare them away / Clarence & Iona. Also handwritten on the back is: Farm house of Iona & Clarence Baker.Research reveals that this is Clarence Edward Baker (1884-1963) and his wife Iona Mary (Bitzer) Baker (1886-1963) on their farm east of Andrews in Polk Township in Huntington County. Clarence is listed as a farmer with 80 acres in the 1911 Huntington County directory. The Bakers house was located on CR 100 S, on the southwest corner of CR 100 S and 950 W.
