The unsent postcard shows a two-story frame house with a balcony over the front door, an iron fence, and a Perkins Windmill. Handwritten on the back is Clyde & Laura Weliver Home - Pyrmont, Indiana.Research shows that William Clyde Weliever (1873-1943) married Laura Ellen (Ulery) Kingery (1876-1939) on November 17, 1912 . His 1918 World War I registration card lists him as a self-employed farmer living on Route 4 in Delphi. It also notes that he is mute and Lauras Find A Grave entry #60643759 states that she was a deaf mute. In 1944 the Weliver property was remodeled and occupied by Michael A. Barnhart and family. |
