Front of image is captioned Interior Denison Hotel Indianapolis, Ind. Postmarked September 7, 1916.The Denison Hotel was located at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Ohio Streets and Massachusetts Avenue. The building experienced a fire in 1895, but was quickly rebuilt and enlarged to six stories. By the 1920s, the hotel was struggling financially and was sold. The hotel was razed in 1933 for a parking garage. As of 2019, the site is home to the BMO Plaza. |
