Postmarked March 1, 1910 and send from Edgar Stienecker who states that he is in grade 5B. Message reads in part: Dont you think that our place looks pretty. What a lot of snow around it.Ten-year old Edgar Stienecker was listed in the 1910 Indianapolis census at 1208 Columbia Avenue, living with his family including father Frank E. Steinecker (1872-1949) who was a saloon keeper / own house (rents property). The Frank Stienecker Saloon is listed at 1208 Roosevelt Avenue in the 1911 city directory and 1248 Roosevelt Avenue in the 1914 directory. |
