Description: Two women and a man pose around a large statue of Santa Claus at Santa Claus Land. At the base of the statue is an inscription reading: Dedicated to the children of the world in memory of an undying love.Santa Claus Land opened August 3, 1946, and was the brainchild of Louis Koch of Evansville, Indiana who worried that children visiting Santa Claus, Indiana would be disappointed to find Santa wasnt there. When it opened, the theme park themed childrens rides, a candy castle, toy shops, and Santa himself.
