Beekeeping at the Arnold home, Rushville, Indiana, circa 1903

Description: Two men capture a beehive outside of the Arnold home. One man stands below the tree leaning on a bee box. He moved while the photo was being taken, so a ghost image of him is opening the bee box. The other stands on the ladder wearng a mesh covering over his head and a saw in one of his hands. This photo is almost identical to ia-0145-0054. Many of the photos in this collection (ia-0145-0001 through ia-0145-0094) were taken by John C. Arnold (1876-1927), amateur photographer, of Rushville.
