Body of message reads, July 25, 1911, Dear Mamsie - This pictures are just horrid but I shall send you one, and I want you to please not show them to anyone. My glasses spoiled the picture and my dress looks so slomicky! How are you feeling, Mother? How is everything at home? I got Ramonas card and letter both yesterday - the first had I had heard from home. It is so cool we have to wear wraps in the house here. You had better opne that express package and see if they are OK. With love - Julia. This young lady had her picture taken at the Inn Fountain along Park Ave. near the Inn Hotel. She was not please with how she looked wearing her glasses and that her dress was slomicky a word that means, careless, sloppy or slovenly. |
