R.F.D. This card is postmarked 1931. The entrance fee to enter the grounds ended in 1930. The parade of cars passing through the former toll booths is quite picturesque. The cards sender Dr. C. E. Kircher said that he would be back in August to preach. Kircher was a Presbyterian minister and evangelist. He states that there were 10,000 people attending the current conference. At its peak Winona Lake welcomed over 250,000 visitors each summer. |
