Sunday was in Jacksonville, Illinois from September 25 through November 5, 1908. It is reported that 249,459 attended during the 6 weeks of the meetings. There were 3,200 converts and the offerings totaled $8,000. One reported that Sunday denounced evolution, card playing, dance devotees and theatre gadders. There were 400 electric light bulbs and 2 telephones in the tabernacle. One local minister described Sunday as "a moral cyclone, a prophet sent from God".
