Description: |
This photographs shows the original Hinkle Fieldhouse basketball court, which ran east to west. However, players complained that it was difficult to see the basket when the sun streamed through the west windows during late afternoon games. In 1933, the basketball court was reoriented to run north to south, which also allowed more spectators to view the court from the side rather than from behind the baskets. The red marks around the edges of the photograph are cropping marks. |
