Located in Irvington, this was the former home of Dr. Christopher Bush Coleman. He was a historian and a professor of history at Butler University from 1901 until 1919, and he also served as the Universitys vice president from 1912 until 1919. Starting in 1924, he was the director of the Indiana Historical Bureau and later, he also became the secretary of the Indiana Historical Society. Additionally, Coleman served as the acting director of the Indiana State Library from 1936 until 1942. |
