Description: |
A person is adding a paw print to the sidewalk near the doors on the south side of Atherton Union. Another person is holding the door open while steadying a steel, paw print template with their feet. This event likely occurred during the unveiling of a limestone bulldog statute on May 7, 1996. Sculpted by Matthew Gray Palmer, in association with Old World Stone Carving, the statue was the senior class gift from the Class of 1996. According to the companys website, the template was based on the shape and size of the statues paws and was used as a guide for bush-hammering paw prints into the sidewalk, near the statue. |
