Description: |
Almost every chair is filled in the cafeteria in Atherton Union and people are socializing, smoking, and eating during a basketball banquet. According to the Drift, the Butler University yearbook, annual basketball banquets were hosted by the Utes and the Spurs to honor the basketball team. The Utes was an honorary organization for sophomore men and the Spurs was an honorary organization for sophomore women, and both required above average grades and participation in extra curricular activities. The Spurs wore white sweaters with a blue emblem and appear to be serving or clearing tables, while people in white coats, possibly the Utes, seem to be bussing tables. Besides the banquet, both organizations planned events during Homecoming, among other activities. |
