Description: |
People walk along the grounds on the north side of Jordan Hall. The land surrounding the building is landscaped with shrubs, flowers, and trees as well as sidewalks, benches, and a pergola. Classes were first held in Jordan Hall on September 17, 1928. The October 1928 issue of The Alumnal Quarterly included an article titled Introducing a New Butler which described the new building for people who were not able to visit it in person (p. 129). The article states that across from Jordan Hall is a wooded parkland with landscaped gardens, a sun dial, and well-kept lawns (p. 130). |
