Yes, for this is the Handy Girl’sClub, and home economics is its specialty.The picture shows the girls in the living room of the home economics department.Although the club was not organizeduntil the second semester of the schoolyear, it has become well-known throughout our school for successful faculty dinners and teas.Pres. Helena Spencer; sponsor, MissNoble.ART CRAFT GROUPSIn addition to the regular art lessons,the school offers craft classes in whichthe various groups have weaving, metaltapping, modeling, wood burning, leathertooling, book binding, soap carving andwood carving. They also make marionettes, baskets, linoleum block prints, jewelry, tapestries, purses, and stencil designs.This club allows the pupils to developtheir imaginations and to express theirown ideas.
