The Univee trackteam under the guidance of Al Gallo faced sixmeets during the season. The squad also participated in invitational meets in Linton andWashington. They competed also in the Hoosier Relays, the largest indoor high school trackmeet in the world. Outstanding for the cindermen were miler Bill Carter, hurdler Joe Roman, and dash man Phil Galyan. This year’stennis squad also faced a representative schedule including such large schools as Crawfordsville, New Albany, and Indianapolis Cathedral.Three lettermen returned for action. Theywere Phil Egan, senior, and Jim Binkley, ValdarOinas, juniors. This year’s veteran golf teamfaced one of the toughest schedules in recentyears at U-School. The linksmen were led bylettermen Tom Black, F. G. Summitt, LarryWaters, seniors; Don Lawson, junior, and JimTopolgus, sophomore. Tom Thomas, a transfer from BHS, also figured heavily in the season’s results.
