f^eSerue (/basketballThe Guinea Piglets chalked up a very fine record this past season. Nineout of thirteen starts were captured by the team. The victory combinationaveraged six feet in height. Starting in good style, the team won over itsfirst three opponents before losing to the B. H. S. jinx. However, the squadfound its sights by quickly defeating Stinesville and Mitchell by goodly margins. The Piglets did not stop with the five out of six early victories but wadedthrough the remainder of the season with a “never-say-die” spirit.Sullivan, Mooresville, Spencer, and Seymour were among the scalps takenduring January and February. “Pop” Schooler had on his squad eight or nineboys who saw regular action. Remember that the confidence won in curtainraisers this year will spell success or defeat next year for these boys who willmake up the varsity. Hats off to our coach, “Pop” Schooler, manager, BillFranklin, and the entire Piglet crew.First Row: Bud Stapleton, Phil Douglas, Joe May, Max Headley, Phil Hosier, Joe Good.Second Row: Mr. Schooler, coach; Gene Wells, Dick Shook, Bill Colpitts, Bob Burger, JohnButcher, Bob Fleener, Bill Franklin.i. ■*****%1 w8 I |
