Free Time - Used to Our AdvantageBooks to read, tests to take, papers to write, lectures tolisten to . .. six hours, the greater part of each day, wespent in the classroom, leaving little time outside of classfor hobbies, recreation, and relaxation. Somehow, wemanaged to find a little time here and there, betweenclasses, during lunch, before and after school, and weekends.Before school could mean catching up on a late assignment, congregating in the cafeteria for warmth and thelatest gossip, or sleep. Time between classes was short,five minutes resulting in orange tardy slips for many ofus, and we realized that the five minutes just wasnt always enough.Lunchtime saw students going out to eat, for real hamburgers, a change of scenery, the commons for a hotlunch, or a quick game of frisbee.Three oclock came at last, welcomed by all, for it meanttime for us to use as we pleased.The Euchre for lunch bunch!Junior boys find a little free time to show off before the camera.-12 |
