Description: Class Time - Hours Spent Learning,Barry Salmon buries his nose in a good book.//F7flThere are only six hours a day, each a block of time devoted to giving the student an education, not only aboutthe subject matter, but of himself, his teachers, and allthe people surrounding him. Lectures, discussions, anddebates are all a part of class time. Homework, individual labs, and tests, demand the student to think on hisown. Bubblegum, yellow passes, writing notes, andyawns help make class bearable. The U-School studenthas freedom to design his schedule to allow for that possible I.U. class, afternoon job, or special elective.Small classes, interaction between student and teacher,no dress code, and student and faculty voice in curriculum changes all create a unique U-School atmospherewhere class time can be the most worthwhile.ABOVE: Seven-With-One-Blow Peters sets his sights for another sure hit.
